For my second choice project I decided to make a bowl out of vashon white. I put crushed glass and rock at the bottom as well as some design around the edges.
For my set of three I used the detail glazes to give the glaze a water color look. For the small two bowls I used porcelain and for the larger project I used red clay. I also did two cut outs and a design on the projects to give them more detail. For my first choice project I created a bowl. I used red clay, as well as purple for the glaze and white dripped along the edges so that it would give it a marble look. For my wheel altered projects I used red clay and folded in the edges to give the projects a flower look. For my two bowls I decided to used sea mix and derail glade on one, and for the other I used red clay and detail stain. For my tall project I made a cylinder made out of sea mix. I used the detail glazes to give the project a water color look. For my lidded project, I used red clay. For glaze on the base I used cobalt stain and clear. For the lid I used metallic brown. I threw the base of the frankenpot. I put a foot ring on the pot and glazed it. The top half is a green color with pink streaks all along the sides with the bottom half with clear glaze. For my second bowl I used red clay. This was the biggest bowl I've made so far. I also used tape to give it a geometrical design. I used cobalt stain as well as light purple. For my first bowl I used sea mix, and cobalt stain for detail. For detail I used tape for the first time to get the diamond shape pattern all around the bowl. |
