For my planter I decided to use a lot of detail on the whole thing. I Used the cobalt stain on mainly one side and the light green glaze on the other to give it contrast. This was my second planter that I have made and I was happy with the way it turned out compared to my first one. This one I was able to make bigger then the first one I made.
For my cup with the pulled handle, I used the light blue stain to make cloud designs around the outside of the cup as well as the inside. I then used a thick coat of clear glaze over the entire project, then chipped some of it off to give it some texture. I liked the way the dark blue showed up with the white clouds the contrast it. The cup has a stormy night sort of feel. For my vase I decided to use the dark blue detail and topped it off with clear. The dark stain contrasts with the natural color of the clay. I like the way the clay looks with only the glaze over it.
For my second bowl I decided to try splatter paint on the white and green. I found out that it only showed up on the green. The white glaze runs, which is why it didn't splatter on the green. This bowl is also the larges project that I've ever thrown.
